islet cam privacy policy
islet cam is made by BitColossus. In short: islet cam collects no data. Your photos never leave your iPhone unless you save or share them yourself. This policy covers the app; for this website, see the website privacy policy.
What stays on your iPhone
The photos you take, what you write and stick on them, and your settings are saved only inside islet cam on your iPhone. The Home Screen widget and the Live Activity show photos from that same storage. We have no servers and no accounts, so we can’t see your photos or recover them. Deleting a photo, or the app, deletes it.
What the app sends
Nothing. islet cam has no account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking and no third-party SDKs, and it doesn’t send your photos or anything else to us or anyone else.
Camera, Photos and motion
- Camera: used only to take photos while the camera is open. Nothing is recorded when it’s closed.
- Photos (add only): islet cam asks for permission to add to your library only when you save a photo, or when you turn on Save to Photos in Settings. It can only add photos; it can’t see your library.
- Motion: when you shake a developing photo, the app reads your iPhone’s motion to develop it. This is never stored.
- Sharing uses the iOS share sheet. You choose what to share and where; the photo and its video are made on your iPhone.
Purchases
In-app purchases (islet cam+) are processed by Apple. We don’t receive your name or payment details; Apple only tells the app on your iPhone whether you have islet cam+.
Crash reports
If you’ve chosen to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash and performance reports. You can change this in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.
Children
islet cam collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
